About the practice

A small, focused consulting practice built on honest advice and real relationships with landowners in the Central Texas Cross Timbers ecoregion.

Local. Personal. Attentive.

Cross Timbers Land & Water Solutions, LLC serves landowners across Hamilton, Erath, Comanche, Bosque, Coryell, Lampasas, Mills, and Brown Counties — the heart of the Central Texas Cross Timbers ecoregion.

The practice is built around one-on-one relationships. Every client works directly with the same person from start to finish — the person who walks your land is the same person who writes your plan and prepares your annual report.

Wildlife management in the Cross Timbers is not a one-size-fits-all proposition. The cedar, live oak, and post oak country here has its own ecology, its own species, and its own management challenges. Plans are written to reflect that — grounded in the land you actually own, not a generic template.

About the principal

I'm a retired Professional Engineer licensed in Texas with decades of experience protecting public safety and the environment across Central Texas. My work has focused on watershed management, water quality permitting, and intergovernmental collaboration — bringing agencies and stakeholders together to achieve results no single party could accomplish alone.

I served seven years as General Manager of the Upper Brushy Creek Water Control and Improvement District, overseeing 21 high-hazard dams in Williamson County. Prior to that, I spent seven years as Engineer and Stormwater Coordinator for the City of Round Rock. In total, more than 20 years of private-sector work with TxDOT, counties, and municipalities throughout the region bookend these public roles.

I own 30 acres in Hamilton County and personally wrote and successfully submitted both my wildlife management plan and first annual report to the Hamilton County Appraisal District. Having navigated the process from the landowner's side of the table shapes how I work with every client. I bring that dual perspective — engineering expertise and practical landownership — to every engagement.

How we work

Small by design

The practice intentionally serves a limited number of clients each year. That keeps the work personal and the advice honest.

Built on the land

Every plan starts with a site visit. We walk the property, look at the soils and vegetation, and talk through what you want to accomplish before anything gets written down.

Long-term relationships

Wildlife management valuation is an ongoing commitment. The goal is to be a resource you can call year after year — not just at plan time.

Service area

Primary service counties are Hamilton, Erath, Comanche, Bosque, Coryell, Lampasas, Mills, and Brown — the Central Texas Cross Timbers ecoregion. Work outside this area is considered on a case-by-case basis.

Let's talk about your land.

If you have questions about wildlife management plans, annual reports, or whether your property might qualify, reach out. The first conversation is always free.
